When my daughter
Was a little girl,
I often used to say
How proud and happy
I would be
On this, her wedding day.

My daughter is not lost to me;
In fact, I've gained a son.
I'm happy you can share
My joy and see them
Joined as one.

So may I welcome
All of you and may this
Whole day be, a happy
And a joyous one
For friends and family.
