Very unique & beautiful!

In the north of Thailand the mulberry (saa) tree sheds its bark annually after the rainy season. For over 600 years the northern villagers have been making items from this bark. Each piece is individually handcrafted.

Acid free paper is produced from the bark. The cover is dyed blue by using natural dyes. On the cover are flowers designed from the bark and the leaves are from the rubber tree. It has a twig handle for carrying and a toggle with twine for closing the front cover.
