Hello...and WELCOME!
I'm glad ya stopped by to take a peek at my Texas & New Mexico vacation!
The weather this year was absolutely wonderful.
The sun shined every day and I didn't run into any rain.
It did get down into the 30's-40's in NM and in the 40's
in TX, during the nights. A little too chilly for my FL thinned out blood! lol There was even a thin layer of ice
on the dogs water bowl in NM...... bbbuuurrrrrrr!!!!!

Vacation this year started on October 18th, 2003.
Tigger went along with me for the ride and he had to
visit his daughters, Neesie-Ann, Kali, & Taylor!
I arrived in Texas on the 19th. Stayed with Laura,
Ricky, & Neesie-Ann. Had a great visit.

I left Willis, TX on the 24th and drove to Placitas, NM.
It was a 14hr. drive. Long stretches of absolutely nothing,
and boy was it windy up in northwest TX. There's enough
open land up there, that moving 3/4 of South Fl would greatly
ease the congestion here. hehehehe!!!!

In New Mexico, lives Paul & Lauri. I met them online when
Lauri contacted me about a puppy from the last litter.
They got 2 red-tri females, Kali & Taylor. The girls looked
great! Well taken care of and loved by 2 wonderful people.
I spent the weekend with Paul & Lauri and all the dogs.
I got to spoil them rotten too! ;-) just like a grammy should!
I got them big bags of rawhide flips, bones, & wraps, plus a
few bags of some really good tasting soft treats. They also
each got a new stuffed squeaky toy. On Sunday, we went to the
airport as they got another little female, black-tri, "Raven".
She's such a cutie!!! She loved all the goodies Grammy Jodi bought too!

Here's a few pics I took along the way....

The above 3 pictures were as I was crossing the New Mexico line on I-40.

The above 5 pictures were all taken looking out from Lauri & Paul's home. Their home is made out of adobe. It's really neat! The walls are so
thick that air conditioning isn't needed. They have fire places to warm
the house during winter.
This area was so beautiful. I was amazed at all the houses built into
the sides of the hills. I really liked the southwestern style of homes
too! The only thing that I kinda didn't like was the fact that there's
really no humidity out there and my skin looked like a snake!
My sinuses and congestion were much improved out there tho!

Lauri playing with the dogs, Kali & Taylor enjoying the rawhide wraps, and the new puppy, Raven!

Kali, Taylor, & Tigger all helped me find a couple rocks to take back home. We also had to take one to Belva & Ricky.

It's difficult to get 6 dogs to cooperate for pictures!
We did our best tho! lol

A few more pictures along the way

On my way back to Texas from New Mexico, near Ft. Worth, I stopped in and visited with Martha & James. They grilled some burgers and we had a wonderful visit. I met them last year on vacation!

right to left....
Laura, Irene, Belva, & I
We had just got back from dinner at Ryan's!

This is Neesie-Ann. She wouldn't get out of the car!
I was ready to head back towards home!

On my way home, I made a few stops!
I stopped in Purvis, Mississippi to check out a few lovebirds for work. I finally got to meet Greg at "Yellow Bird Farm". I carried 6 lovebirds for the rest of the trip!

I also stopped east of Pensacola, FL to visit with Bill. I decided to get a room and stay over, as I still had alot more driving to do. We ordered pizza and had a great visit.

Love and Blessings to All......
